Celebrating Art, Building Community

The Boone County Visual Arts Association (BCVAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the visual arts throughout the Northern Kentucky region. Founded in early 2006 on the belief that creativity enriches communities, we provide opportunities for artists of all backgrounds to connect, grow, and share their work with the public.

Our Mission:

To advance, affirm, and promote the visual arts in Boone County and surrounding areas, while developing opportunities for the promotion, display, and merchandising of fine art by local artists.

What We Do:

Whether you're an experienced artist, emerging talent, or an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, BCVAA offers ways to get involved:

  • Monthly Meetings – Held on the second Thursday evening of each month at the Main Branch of the Boone County Public Library, our meetings are a casual and welcoming space to share artwork, network with other creatives, and learn about upcoming exhibitions and events.
  • Group Exhibits & Solo Shows – We host and participate in art shows throughout the year, providing members with opportunities to showcase and sell their work in professional and community-focused settings.
  • Community Events – Our members are always looking for local festivals and collaborative art projects to engage with the public and bring art into everyday spaces.
  • Member Paint-Ins & Creative Gatherings – Informal, social opportunities to create art together and exchange ideas in a relaxed environment.

Why Join?

BCVAA is more than just an art group, it’s a creative community. As a member, you’ll have access to exhibit opportunities, peer support, creative inspiration, and friendships with others who share your passion for the visual arts.

We welcome artists working in all mediums, from painting and drawing to photography, sculpture, fiber arts, and more. You don’t need to be a professional, just someone who loves making or supporting art.

Come to a meeting, visit a show, or become a member — and be part of a growing local arts movement.
